Basement finishing in Lehi, a short drive from the shop
The shop is in north Lehi, at 3896 W 1850 N. A basement visit here is usually a few minutes, not a planned trip down the valley.
North Lehi, Traverse Mountain, and the streets around Thanksgiving Point have a lot of two-stories whose downstairs was left as concrete. Older houses nearer Main Street are different: the basement may already be finished and simply dated, with a low ceiling or a bath that was added years ago. Those are two bids. We look before we treat them as the same job.
Lehi City requires a permit for a residential basement finish. The city's checklist asks for plans, a dimensioned floor plan with window sizes, and the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical layout. We do not guess whether your block allows a second kitchen. If the downstairs is meant to be an apartment, start with the basement apartment page and the city's building department.
The photo on this page is a basement kitchenette still in progress, not a finished Lehi basement. The quote tool's basement rates are Good $52, Better $90, and Best $143 per square foot. An 800 square foot plan at the Good rate is $41,600. That is a planning range. The written number comes after the visit.
