Orem basements follow the house, not a single floor plan
Orem is not one housing type. A split-level near the older orchards and a newer house farther east do not share a basement.
In an older Orem house the downstairs may already be rooms with a ceiling height you have to live with. In a newer house it may still be storage. We will not sell you a bedroom count the stair and the windows cannot support.
Basement apartments come up. We have finished a raw basement into a separate apartment for a client. That does not mean your Orem lot allows the same thing. Ask us to look at egress and the mechanicals, and confirm the use with the city before cabinets are ordered.
