South Jordan basements, especially the ones left unfinished
Daybreak and the later southwest neighborhoods were built with basements the builder often left as concrete. Older streets closer to the original town are a different house.
An unfinished Daybreak basement is framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, lighting, and often a bath. An older South Jordan downstairs may already be rooms. We will not use one square-footage example for both.
South Jordan is not Lehi, and it does not use Lehi's permit checklist. Ask the city before you assume a kitchenette can be an apartment. We have finished one client's raw basement into an apartment. That does not set the rule here.
The drive from Lehi is longer than Draper or Bluffdale and shorter than downtown Salt Lake City. The in-progress kitchenette photo is not a South Jordan job. Basement rates in the tool are $52, $90, and $143 per square foot.
